The Bishops

Gave us this coupon book for Christmas. They completed all of them very well, but the toughest one to honor was Lydia's (for obvious reasons)

Happy 62nd

To the best husband, father, and grandfather I know.  He received titanium samurai sword quality nail clippers from the Idiarts, and Tiffany graciously trimmed his toenails.   Everyone else fled the scene.

After

The Bishop's car dying and being towed to Greenriver and a three hour delay while getting a new fuel pump, they rolled into town this afternoon.   We're so glad everyone is here safe and sound.

The first

Wave has arrived.   So happy!

Pictures of

last night's party.  I should have had Gary taking pictures, also, because we missed some people.  I also found that my new favorite thing (the lights in the candy store) also cause glare in the pictures.

A big thanks go to Natalie and Trent for running the candy store.  I almost fired her last year because she wasn't tying bows on the bags, but I think she redeemed herself this year.   I'll "let" her do it again next year.

Spent yesterday

getting ready for our "Dinner is on Us" neighborhood event.

Last night as I was was cleaning, cooking, making a huge kitchen mess, and setting up, I was asking myself, "Why do we do this?"  I didn't really have a good answer at the time.

But, as everyone gathered today, I remembered why.  Fellowship, friendship, and connecting with each other, are things we all need. That and seeing the delight of children at Christmas makes it all worthwhile.

Pictures tomorrow.
