"Undercover Boss" tonight. We watched it tonight because it was a segment where the CEO of the Utah Jazz went undercover as a new employee. The show is always very touching, as a boss goes undercover, gets to know the employees, and comes to understand the struggles that so many people have. The few times I've watched the show, I usually end up in tears as the employees stories are revealed and as the bosses end up helping them individually.
I've been thinking about this quote a lot this week. I've heard of struggles of two different friends who are dealing with heartache. It reminds me of this saying.
a common phrase I’ve heard and used all my life. For my grandchildren, or those who may have never heard that phrase, it basically means that after all is said and done, or after it is all over, what really matters is ______(fill in the blank). For me, it all boils down to the people I am blessed to have in my life.

A few more of our Oregon Activities
We started home on Saturday and got home yesterday. It's always hard to say good-bye.
I was grateful that Eliza's ankle was bothering her because we just went a short distance and then had our own fun. (I wasn't really grateful that her ankle was bothering her, I was just grateful I had an excuse to stay back and spend time with her instead of hike)
While there we were also able to see Ashton in his elementary school production of Willy Wonka.
We went on a hike.

Gary was always sharing his "magic lotion" with whoever would take him up on it.
We took on a couple of projects, too. Tiffany has been talking about redecorating her laundry room, and we decided on Wednesday that we should do it. It was fun picking out baskets, decor, and paint. And I have to admit that I felt a little like Tom Sawyer when it came time to actually paint.
We wished we had taken some before and after pictures. The walls were all white and it was kind of just a catch-all room. Here is the big reveal:
The other project was Bunnie Brownie jars. But that will be another day.

Oh . . . and I forgot to mention
the afternoon when I loaded the dishwasher and put in dish soap instead of dishwasher soap. Fortunately Luci asked me for some milk, so I went into the kitchen and only found a 3 foot area of the kitchen covered in suds instead of the whole kitchen. Yup, it is true.
For some reason Tiffany didn't want me to load the dishwasher tonight. She said it was because I am on vacation, but I think she has another motive.

We surprised the Idiarts in Oregon and showed up on their doorstep on Valentines! It was so fun. We took off Thursday after school, spent the night in Elko, and pulled in at 5 pm.

A tribute to LOVE
of every kind. Husband to wife, parent to child, friend to friend. As the saying goes, "Life doesn't make the world go around, it just makes the ride worthwhile."
