It has

Been a full day.  Primary president breakfast, another batch of salsa, and then to Salt Lake. We went up with Gary and Lynn to visit Richard in the hospital.  He had an emergency surgery yesterday for a bowel blockage. He said that, pain wise, it was worse than his heart attacks.  He is doing OK, but is having in a lot of pain from the incision.

His daughters are very good with him.  We were talking about how Greg's father just passed away at 94.  Lynn commented that she doesn't want to live that long, but Richard said he did, so he can be there for his girls.  They are both in their high forties, but they are both single and he worries about them. His little great granddaughter  is the light of his life.

Gary

Was very excited when he came home to find this.  Thanks to the salsa mix Misty gave me a couple of years ago and my bountiful tomato crop, I made my very first batch ever.

Pie and Ice Cream

social for the men in the Ward.

I wish Tiffany were here to do the chalkboard.  I improvised and kept her banner at the top.  It had said "Happy Birthday Annie," so I erased the "A" and put periods after them for "H.P."   Then you can tell that I wrote the "Pie & Ice Cream," as it is not nearly as cute.

Here are some of the signs she did free hand for the wedding.  I think she could go into business as a chalk board sign maker.

P.S.  I'll post pictures of the social later.  It is fun to see 30 men in the back yard eating pie and ice cream.   I'm hoping Gary will take pictures, as I am avoiding going out because I still can't put in my left hearing aid.  But I went to the Dr. and have some medicine, so hopefully I'll be in the land of the hearing soon.

I was going to post cute back to school pictures

of the Idiarts from Tiffany's Instagram post.  But, I guess I can't save them to my devise like I can on facebook.   So I will post them as soon as I get them.

I always pray that the children will have loving teachers and friends.  And I always hope that they will be the kind of friend that someone else needs.  I pray that they can withstand the negative and destructive influences that they are bombarded with.   And, likewise, that they can be a positive influence to someone who is trapped in a dark way of life.

Hang in there all of you.  You are strong and know what is right and good.  I'm so proud of all of you.

I have a

Great gardening tip for anyone who is interested.   Weed your garden only once in the summer and never get around to putting cages around the tomatoes.  Best one day yield ever!

We are finally getting the photos scanned for the slide show back into the albums.
