a common phrase I’ve heard and used all my life. For my grandchildren, or those who may have never heard that phrase, it basically means that after all is said and done, or after it is all over, what really matters is ______(fill in the blank). For me, it all boils down to the people I am blessed to have in my life.

Happy birthday
To our wonderful daughter, Tiffany! I planned to do photos but we just finished up Natalie's bridal shots and I've run out of time and phone power. We love you Tiff.
Good thing she noticed right away so I could correct a disastrous auto fill.

Don't be jealous
But I'm having German Chocolate Crunch at the creamery. Gary said not to be jealous of his Pralines and carmel.
Can I say that my husband is one of a kind.

We have had
the rainiest May that I can remember. We've had rain every day and have not had to water for a long time.
A couple of days ago as we were driving I saw these beautiful clouds.
I see a bunny on the left with his nose up in the air. That may be stretching it a bit, but I may have bunnies on my mind because I was petting one last week.

We tried out the
smore's maker for dessert last night. It was fun, but I think we should probably need to use the smaller marshmallows.

We had an enjoyable
And busy day yesterday. We met my family for lunch, hit a movie, drove Richard home, went to Ikea, and then a wedding reception. I'm grateful for my happy life and the people in it.

It is wonderful
when friends are so loyal. Last night Diane and Sue hosted a shower for Natalie. We moved into this neighborhood 30 years ago this month. Most of the ladies who came to the shower have been here about that long and have watched Natalie grow up. I feel so much appreciation for these ladies.

we are finally on our last batch of
If I understand my scribbled note correctly, when I doubled the the recipe I added 4 more cups of milk. Which means that if I follow the recipe on the card, I add two more cups of milk.
It is kind of bad when when you can't decipher your own scribbles.

Happy Birthday
to my sister, Charlene.
She will be reading this in about 5 hours, since she is very disciplined and will be up about that time. I wish I had half of her discipline.
I'm so grateful that she is my sister. She has always been there for me and my family, and she gave birth to wonderful nieces whose families add so much to our lives.
I love these pictures of us. She is older than me by 2 1/2 years. I think my favorite is the picture of us in our pajamas with curlers and hair nets in our hair.

I have
been a slacker with my Saturday Sampler class. It is a Christmas themed one.
Here are the samples that are shown on the board when we go in for the class. I've gone to the classes, but I just haven't done very many of the assignments. So as it stands now, I have two unfinished quilts. I think I'll take a breather from the class next year and try to get them both finished.
Misty was probably wise in claiming the 1st year's quilt (below) as her inheritance. She said it was because she didn't know if I would ever make more.
She might have been on to something there.
But I choose to think positively and
