a common phrase I’ve heard and used all my life. For my grandchildren, or those who may have never heard that phrase, it basically means that after all is said and done, or after it is all over, what really matters is ______(fill in the blank). For me, it all boils down to the people I am blessed to have in my life.

It doesn't look
appetizing at all. But Gary loves milk toast when I make homemade bread.
Here is the recipe. Slice bread into thick slices. Toast in toaster. Add butter to toast. Warm some milk. Pour milk over the toast. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
He always offers to pay me (or the girls) a dollar if we take a bite. To my knowledge, no one has ever taken him up on it.
