Happy Birthday

to our grandson, ASHTON, who turns 9 years old today.  When we called to sing Happy Birthday to him, we asked about the 130 chocolate donuts they had made for his birthday (using the babycakes machine).  He said he had only eaten 5 of them, because they were for his friend party and his family party tomorrow.    Gary quickly threw out a math problem to him.  "How many dozen cupcakes would there be if you had made 144?"  He didn't even miss a beat, and said, "That would be 12 dozen."   I've told Tiffany that she needs to write a book of all the cerebral things Ashton says.   He is so insightful, observing, and smart.

We love you, Ashton, and wish we were there in person to give you a hug.
As for now, this will have to do!

Love the photo. He sounds like a very smart young man. The two of you look great, as well as the birthday boy.

"It's true. Every single part." That's what Ashton said after reading your blog post. He's smart. . .and humble too! He loves you both more than he loves me. :)

What I love about Ashton is he uses those wits to be a peacemaker! He's one of the only kids I know who doesn't cause trouble!

He is a unique boy and so cute. I love the picture. And grandkids are supposed to love their grandparents more than their parents.
