Eliza Marie

Idiart turned 12 today.  It's hard to believe.

It seems like yesterday when we were singing to her as we made the very long, long, long, winding drive down to the base of Yosemite National Park.  We were heading to an Anderson Family reunion, and were driving in the car with Eliza.  She was being a little temperamental, and the only thing that would calm her down was for all of us to sing this song (I think we made up the tune, also)

"Eliza Marie Idiart,
Eliza Marie Idiart,
Eliza Marie Idiart,
That's my name,
don't wear it out."

(But we did wear it out,
over, and over, and over again)

Here she is in the middle being held by Tiffany
during that unforgettable trip.

Well, now Eliza is a beautiful and delightful young woman.

Today, when we called to sing happy birthday to her, we sang the above song first.  She doesn't remember us singing the song, I'm sure, but none of us have ever let her forget about it.

We love you, Eliza.
And we won't ever wear out saying that.
