Yesterday

was Gary's last day of Christmas break. We have wanted to try out the new Frontrunner train that goes from Provo to Salt Lake, but had not found the time for it. So, we decided to be adventurous and do it yesterday. (Yes, I know that may not seem like an adventurous thing to do to someone who climbs tall mountains, but it was an adventure for us).

We left from the Orem station at 11:07 and arrived in downtown Salt Lake 50 minutes later.

Then we took the trax to the City Creek Center and ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. After shopping around a bit, we took the trax back to the Frontrunner train.

The only kink in the trip, was that it was freezing, and we had about a 20 minute wait for the train to arrive.  Gary was over hiding behind a shelter, and I had my scarf wrapped all the way around my head.   I'm actually very excited about this new option of traveling to and from Salt Lake. There is a lot of potential for meeting up with family and friends when we don't want to drive.

That was our adventure for the day, and it was all accomplished in about 4 1/2 hours.

Watch out, who knows what daring thing we'll do next!

sounds fun. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay at bunny hallow. We had a really fun time with you and Gary. We always do.

We want to do the same thing but going the other way. Then we can all meet for lunch.
