Deep Thoughts

For the last two nights in Sun Valley we spent our time
using the "Table Topics" cube.

Here are some of the questions we discussed:

When you're down what do you do to feel better?

Is justice or forgiveness more important?

In which activity would you like a lesson from an expert?

What change would you most like to make for your health?

What quality do you think is most important in marriage?

Do you live more in the past, present or future?

What's the best way to spend a rainy weekend?

What's the last thing you cried about?

Is it more difficult for you to speak kindly or honestly?

What has been the most spiritual experience of your life?

Which temptation do you try the hardest to resist?

What era would you like to have grown up in?

Which of your personality traits would you most like to change?

What makes a house a home?

There were moments of fun,
inspiration, and even surprise as we

shared our thoughts about things we
had never had discussions about.

We have some very strong opinions in the family,
so as usual there were moments of friendly
debate about some issues.

I have enjoyed and observed over the years
that the family thrives on,
and even creates,
a little healthy controversy in discussions.
I've always loved that.

We were sad to see the reunion end,
but are glad that Tom and Lynn have come
to stay with us for a few days.

"friendly debates" are something I haven't mastered yet. Dan's convinced I'm out to prove I'm right, not debate. Is that the Ashton or Anderson coming out in me? I too wish I could have been there. Love, Misty
