You know you're an Ashton if . . .

Now that life has gotten back to a
slower pace for a few days,

it's time to record a little more of our week in Missouri.

When we were talking before the reunion,
we decided on a theme of,
"You know you're an Ashton if . . ."
Kind of like "You know you're a Redneck if . . ."
Not that an Ashton and a Redneck
are in the least bit alike,

but hopefully you get the drift.

Along with our usual
"It's the FAM"

There really wasn't much time to expound on the theme
at the reunion, other than to bring it up now and then.

But, one of them was,

You know you're an Ashton if . . .

You really like ketchup, or mustard, or fry sauce,
or anything that you can dip whatever you're eating in.
It's not unusual for one of us to ask,
"Would you like some fries with that ketchup?"
We definitely don't want to be without ketchup at an
Ashton family dinner.

(You may be asking yourself, isn't that kind of redneckish to have a yellow bottle labeled ketchup? The answer is yes. They came in pairs and I was too cheap to buy more than needed)

Gary is known to dip carrots in mustard
and potato chips in ketchup.
Those are some of the least disgusting ones.
And fry sauce, well,
I can lick the plate or cup clean and then some.
In fact one souvenir I bought for each of the girls
from the 2002 Winter Olympics here in Utah was this
So you can see, we Ashtons like our sauces.

What about Ranch Dressing.

I've always said it's all about the sauce. Maybe I'm related somewhere along the line.
